Why do we get tattoos???

Why did u get your 1st tattoo? For me it was a dare that I made to myself. I was alone and dared myself to do it and I did it!!! The pain was so severe that it started to feel good!!! The question that kept flowing through my mind was, how can something that hurts so much feel so GOOD?!?! The buzzing from the artist needle hypnotized me into a state of EUPHORIA. I am the first to admit that tattoos are addictive. Once you get 1 you want another and another. I'm up to 5 now and I want to get 3 more and I'm done. But it will keep calling me to come back to that sweet pain that I can't resist. I never thought pain can be pleasure and pleasure can be pain. Share your thoughts...
